Saving Grace: Families
$11,500.00
The tragic events leading up to and following Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, forced thousands of surviving Gulf Coast families into rebuilding their lives with relatives, friends and complete strangers. Hurricane Katrina brought out the best and worst behavior of many in America. I asked myself, “Why is it taking so long for the government to get help to these Americans? Are they not watching the same news footage as I am and the rest of the world?” Their human neglect stunk of historical governmental racism! These were people whose class and circumstances did not seem to merit immediate attention, funds and resources from the White House. Those hardest hit states along the Gulf Coast would just have to wait! Thank God for the heroism and generosity of private citizens, celebrities and corporations, The Coast Guard, The Canadian Government and many others trying to lend a helping hand.
Saving Grace: Families is a limited edition series of 35 portfolios. This includes fourteen beautiful 11x14” archival, warm-toned, gelatin silver prints that come matted and mounted on 16x20” acid free boards. Each print is titled, numbered, dated and signed in the lower right hand corner for investment references. Prints are delivered in an exquisite custom portfolio case. This portrayal will be published in my upcoming book, Saving Grace: Families Rebuilding Their Lives After Hurricane Katrina.
